It seems like a lot longer than seven weeks ago that I first started looking after the Bipbox blog. Since then, we’ve had loads of great blogs written by Christians who love what we’re planning to do with the site, and several (not quite as good!) blogs written by me.
As the blog editor, I’ve been planning ahead, sorting out what to tell you guys about every Monday. So I suppose you can forgive me for always looking forward to next week to make sure that there is always something to grab your attention – especially as Bipbox is taking longer than we’d hoped to get going.
Today, however, I took a look back through the posts to the very first one I wrote up. Back at the beginning of October, we let everyone know what Christian music we had on in the office and what upcoming releases we were waiting for. I thought that today I would update you on how things are turning out for one of our favourites: Chris Tomlin.
Chris Tomlin’s album ‘And If Our God Is For Us’ was released last Tuesday. We loved the single ‘I Will Follow’ earlier in the year, and now the full album is available. I haven’t got my hands on it yet, but having listened to the sample clips on www.christomlin.com, the rest of the tracks certainly seem to live up to expectations! Let us know what you think of the album in the comments below – I think the new studio recording of ‘Our God’ sounds amazing!
Perhaps I’ll come back later to see how the artists and albums I mentioned last week are getting on – or maybe I won’t. After all, it will be the new year sooner than you think and that will be the time to look forward to the future of Bipbox, and of Christian music as a whole. We’ve still got a few weeks of 2010 left though, so I think I’ll just do my best to keep bringing you interesting Christian music news and features, and try to round off the year well so we can enter 2011 on a high. See you next week!
